CUMC MISSIONS

 The members of Christ United Methodist Church have a strong commitment to mission work. Whether locally in Watertown, in Wisconsin and the United States, or internationally, we have found ways to serve God’s people and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

 In this area, we are one of the churches that makes & serves Summer Sandwiches—a weekly lunch that provides food for families when school lunches are not available. CUMC is also a member of the Shared Community Mission Group that sends bags of food home on weekends during the school year to families in need and provided school supplies to hundreds of Watertown school children. Books To Grow On is a project we developed that has donated over 20,000 books to Watertown children to begin their own home libraries.

 Other local charities we support have included Mary’s Room, Loaves & Fishes, Bread & Roses, Crossroads, Watertown Food Pantry, Personal Essentials Pantry, Community Laundry, Haus of Peace, Hometown Missions, gloves, hats, scarves, snow pants and mittens for local children and many local families at Christmas time with food, toys and clothing.

 In Wisconsin, we have donated to Northcott Neighborhood House and Summerfield Saturday Service in Milwaukee, UMCOR-WI (Methodist “Red Cross”), Rising Sun Camp and Marshfield UMC church fire restoration.

 In the U.S., we have given to National Justice For Our Neighbors and  UMCOR-US (disaster relief).

 Internationally, we donate to Christmas Boxes (Samaritan’s Purse), an Agricultural Center and missionary in Africa and UMCOR for disaster relief throughout the world. 

 Christ United Methodist uses our blessings to be a blessing to others everywhere!
